New York Solar Electricity – Using Solar Power For Lighting
We are so used to flicking the light switch and having bright light stream through the room at the, well, speed of light. We do not think about it, we just assume that it will be there. It is actually amazing that it was as little as about a hundred years ago when people were still using gas lamps (if they were lucky). For about the other 10 000 years of human civilization, people had to cope with candles or firelight – no easy flicking of the switch for caveman Ogg!
Today we not only have New York  electrical lights in our homes, but we can store electricity in the form of batteries and take light with us everywhere in the form of flash lights and other outdoor lights.
But we all know that electricity is generated through coal-driven power stations and that this is a resource that is finite. Soon we will have to go back to that never ending power source of warmth and light that was the main source of warmth and light for a couple of thousand years for our forebears, namely the sun.
Yes, solar electricity is something that we need to investigate and spend some serious thought on for our future power use.
Today there are some sources and examples of solar electricity already, let’s take a look at some.
Indoor Lighting
There are some great examples of indoor lighting provided by solar electricity available already. A New York  solar panel is typically the best form of capturing solar energy and converting it to electricity that can be used to drive indoor lighting. You can use these lights in your garden sheds, garage or in your house.
Outdoor Lighting
At night there is nothing that is more romantic and casts a warm glow over the garden than a few lights hidden here and there in between your plants. Solar electricity lights are ideal for this scenario since you can often get soft glow through lights powered by solar panels.
Use these lights around your pond or pool, on your gate posts or in the garden itself. You can even get lights that are not actually connected to your solar panels, but have their own build in solar cells that soak up the sunlight during the day and light up automatically when it gets dark. These types of lights are really great for the garden and has a much lower investment cost. If you really feel that you want to explore the benefits of solar power but you do not want to invest too heavily into solar panels, since, let’s face it, solar panels are quite expensive to buy and install, then these low-cost solar driven garden lights are just the thing for you.
New York  Solar power seems to be the most obvious route to go when investigating alternative forms of power, although it does seem to be quite expensive to install up front. Hopefully the more research is done on capturing the energy from the sun and storing it for future use in this way, the less expensive it will become and will justify getting rid of coal driven power.
